Developing the ultimate skilled trades workforce by equipping workers with the training and real-world experience they need to build successful careers.

JTC Trades Development helps workers earn certifications and licenses on the job while gaining experience through free, hands-on training. JTC also partners with construction companies to supplement their labor force on large commercial projects. Some notable projects include the University of Oklahoma football stadium, Devon Tower and the Omni Hotel.

With a two-prong business model, JTC Trades struggled with messaging clarity. Because they were trying to capture the attention of multiple audiences at once, their marketing efforts were diluted. And when prospective workers and partners did contact them, they were difficult to close. They weren’t fully clear on what JTC Trades actually did and it was perceived as “too good to be true.”

Working closely with the founder, we guided their team through our core discovery process – competitive audits, market positioning, brand attributes, customer segmentation, buyer personas and user journey maps. While JTC Trades chose to retain its original branding, it was unanimous that a website overhaul was needed to clarify their messaging and ultimately reach their goals.

Leveraging the research and insights we gained from the discovery session, we quickly went to work. Our website projects differ from other agencies in that we include SEO and content strategy. This paired with copywriting rooted in behavioral psychology, helps us lay the foundation for high conversion rates.

After the user flows, wireframes and prototypes were approved, we developed the messaging for every touchpoint in their marketing and sale processes. Next, we moved on to the build. We chose a bold and industrial aesthetic that was minimal enough, it didn’t detract from the messaging. Today, with a new website and suite of marketing materials in hand, JTC Trades is reaching more workers than ever before and creating hundreds of jobs.
